Idle conversation with a co-worker, a woman in her mid-twenties. Somehow we got to talking about women who have kids when they're very young. "Heck, I know a woman who is a couple of years younger than me, and she has three grandchildren."
My coworker looked at me. "How does that even happen?"
"That's a rhetorical question, right?" I shrugged. "I mean, when you think about it, you could have a ten-year-old kid by now."
She paused for a moment. "Well, nine years old."
"I do not like where this conversation is going."
