Had a discussion with one of my brothers, who felt that I had missed an important point: I didn't thank all the people who put their time and effort into Scouting.

It's true, Scouting doesn't happen without the participation of a lot of volunteers (and, of course, the other Scouts), and I certainly wouldn't have gotten my Eagle without a lot of help along the way.

I didn't think that was in question, but he misunderstood that, and I expect other people might as well.

To be clear, my disagreement is with the leadership of the BSA.
